When I put together this new site, I thought I’d add a feature to give anyone ability to write their own thoughts. So essentially what I have is bloglike feature that allows you to log-in and post your article. You can get also url something like .marathionline.com so people can easily find you. You can reach readers all over the world via web, and generate publicity.

For all of you who like to read Marathi News, I’ve written crawlers that grab latest headlines from popular newspaper. If you’d like to add additional newspapers, please let me know.
The problem with several of the newspapers is fonts. Some of them, such as Sakal and Ma. Ta. use Unicode which is easier to display. Others like Loksatta use older generation ‘iso’ based fonts. These display as junk characters in the browser if you don’t have them on the system of have dynamic fonts enabled. So if you go to news page, and find that Loksatta newspaper is not being displayed correctly, you know why.
