Marathi Online

Hi, hello, namaskar, ram ram, jai shiwaji wagaire wagaire…… I welcome you all to new Marathi Online. It’s been 3 years now since I\’ve started working on this site, and I’d like to thank you all for encouraging me to keep it going.

I started this site with several objectives in mind:

• Connect worldwide Marathis (need not be Marathi- anyone who is interested in learning about Marathi Culture)
• Encourage folks writing Marathi literatute by giving them opportunity to post on web site
• Promote marathi language usage by providing easy input mechanism(which I think now lots of web sites can do)
• and in general have fun.

So the first version of the site was barely anything, then I added forums and slowly other features. This website got featured by Maharashtra Times, and we have been growing steadily since.

With this latest change, I\’ve added lot more interactivity to the site. You can now read my own blog, and comment on anything.  You can post your stuff in forums, network with other members, chat with them, read today’s news and so on.

I’ll keep on adding interesting stuff to the site as time permits. Note that the content here is whatever I find on the internet, and I\’ll try to give credit to the orginal authors when I know. If you wish to add something, please do let me know.
