Marathi Online

Hi, hello, namaskar, ram ram, jai shiwaji wagaire wagaire…… I welcome you all to new Marathi Online. It’s been 3 years now since I’ve started this site, and I’d like to thank you all for encouraging me to keep it going.

I started this site with several objectives in mind:
- Connect worldwide Marathis (need not be Marathi- anyone who is interested in learning about Marathi culture)
- Encourage folks to write Marathi literatute by giving them opportunity to post on web site
- Promote marathi language usage by providing easy input mechanism for Marathi alphabet(which I think now lots of web sites can do)
- and in general have fun.

So the first version of the site barely had anything. Then I added forums and other features. Then the website got featured by Maharashtra Times, and we have been growing steadily since.

With this latest change, I’ve added lot more interactivity to the site. You can now read my own blog, and comment on anything. You can also get your own blog on Marathi Online.Just drop me a line to find out how. If you want to find out what blogging is all about, just google ‘blog’ and and you’ll know.

I’ll keep on adding interesting stuff to the site as time permits. Note that the content here is whatever I find on the internet, and I’ll try to give credit to the orginal authors when I know. If you have any comments or ideas, please do let me know.
